Behind an overall well-being rate of 59%, the survey reveals very different realities depending on the profile. And whilst Luxembourg employers express a willingness to take action, residents do not yet feel this commitment.

Experiences vary significantly by profile

59% of active employees in Luxembourg rate their well-being at work positively. However, this overall figure masks a notable gap: 69% of cross-border workers feel happy at work, compared with 50% of residents. This disparity can be partly explained by the level of well-being benefits provided, which varies significantly depending on employee profiles. 14% of residents have no well-being scheme at their company.

Between intentions and perception: room for improvement

59% of cross-border workers believe their employer takes concrete action to promote their well-being. Among residents, this figure falls to 33%. And when asked whether the initiatives in place match their actual expectations, 58% of cross-border workers answer positively, compared with only 24% of residents.

Food: a concrete and highly valued well-being lever

65% of employees in Luxembourg say that having options for healthy eating at work, whether this means a quality lunch break, meal vouchers or a healthy offer nearby, contributes to their well-being. This figure rises to 71% among cross-border workers and stands at 57% among residents. Among the well-being benefits actually offered by employers, meal vouchers rank in the top three: 30% of employees receive them as part of such schemes.

Simple measures that make a difference

Well-being at work cannot be imposed. It is built on concrete, everyday measures: remote working (38%), workplace atmosphere and team building (32%), meal vouchers (30%). These are the benefits most frequently offered by Luxembourg employers, and they are valued by all employees, residents and cross-border workers alike.

“Well-being at work has become a criterion when choosing an employer. What employees are asking for are tangible benefits: eating well, feeling valued, and enjoying genuine benefits. Companies that take action on these simple levers make a real difference, notably by seeing lower absenteeism and stronger engagement. This is precisely where Edenred supports employers in Luxembourg,” says Patrick Langlois, Managing Director of Edenred Luxembourg.
\n <figure\n class=\"release-content-image release-content-image--contained release-content-image--align-center\"\n data-component=\"image-zoom-popup\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-selector=\".release-content-image__image\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-i18n=\"data:application/json;base64,eyJEb3dubG9hZCI6IkRvd25sb2FkIn0=\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-views-event=\"Story Image View\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-download-event=\"Story Image Download\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-placement=\"content\"\n >\n
\n <img\n src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/2ac71c0b-d00d-4864-b8eb-4c4bee0f1a4c/-/resize/1200x/-/format/auto/\"\n class=\"release-content-image__image image-thumbnail-rollover__image\"\n data-description=\"Patrick Langlois<br>\u200bManaging Director of Edenred Luxembourg\"\n id=\"image-2ac71c0b-d00d-4864-b8eb-4c4bee0f1a4c\"\n data-id=\"2ac71c0b-d00d-4864-b8eb-4c4bee0f1a4c\"\n data-original=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/2ac71c0b-d00d-4864-b8eb-4c4bee0f1a4c/-/inline/no/patrick-langlois.jpg\"\n data-mfp-src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/2ac71c0b-d00d-4864-b8eb-4c4bee0f1a4c/-/resize/1200x/-/format/auto/\"\n alt=\"Patrick Langlois\nManaging Director of Edenred Luxembourg\"\n />\n
\n \n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-expand\"></use>\n
\n
\n\n
Patrick Langlois
\u200bManaging Director of Edenred Luxembourg
\n
\n

The Edenred Luxembourg Employee Barometer is a survey conducted by research agency Into the Minds among 1,025 active employees in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, comprising residents (504) and cross-border workers (521) from France, Belgium and Germany.

CONTACTS
\n<div\n class=\"table-container\"\n style=\"\"\n>\n <table\n class=\"table table-bordered\"\n >\n
\n
\n

RCA PR

Charlotte Ries

Tel. +32 489 32 71 00

charlotte.ries@rcapr.be

Département communication (Edenred)

David Dupuis

Tel. +32 473 34 30 21

david.dupuis@edenred.com

\n
\n
\n
\n",
